Holy Week & Easter

Easter reflection for the parish of Kilmihil

As we enter Holy week we will miss the coming together for the ceremonies whether in the Church or at St Michael’s Shrine. We will have different ways of joining in the ceremonies whether on T.V. or Radio or Webcam.

To give us a sense of being together as Kimihil community I will put a little reflection for each day on the Community website for Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday. Copies will aslo be available in the local shops.

As a Parish we sincerely thank our Youth Ministry Group for their beautiful idea of us all lighting a candle on Saturday night in our homes at 8.00pm.What a lovely idea. Well done.

I just had an idea that at five minutes to eight on the same night we might have in each of our homes a bottle of water from well or tap and that each of us would say at the same time the prayer of blessing by John O’Donoghue (you will have the prayer by then). That water will then be our Easter water for 2020, as we pray God’s blessing on our families, homes and property.
