The Bring Bank for recycling glass bottles/jars and aluminium cans is located at Fitzpatrick’s Garage/Supermarket, Main Street, Kilmihil.
Please note the parish church collects old spectacles for upcycling, there is a box in the church porch or they can be dropped in to the Parish Office when it is open.

Kilmihil Community Employment Scheme
Kilmihil Community Development ran a community employment scheme this is now managed by Doonbeg Community Development with work in Kilmihil under the supervision of Michael Lineen. The C.E.S. does tremendous work in our parish. Vacancies on the scheme are notified in the parish newsletter and the local jobs section of this website.

Kilmihil Defibrillator Service -1800 60 32 99
Kilmihil Community operate a 24 hour defibrillator service from 1800 60 32 99. Please put this number somewhere prominent where it can be seen, save it to your mobile phone; and remind your elderly parents, friends and neighbours to do the same. Time saves lives. If you can do CPR and get the de-fib within 10 minutes of a heart attack you could save someone’s life.

The text alert number is 065 908 0550 this should be saved on your phone and used to advise the Garda of any suspicious or criminal activity in the parish. The Garda will review the calls received and based on their judgement may send a text to the members of the Kilmihil Text Alert scheme to warn them to be aware and alert.
You can join the scheme to receive alerts by signing up at the Post Office at any time. A minimum contribution of €5.00 is all that is required. A copy of the Text Alert Guidelines can be downloaded from the www.garda.ie website.
